| saiyan prince1 2005-04-12 ch 1, | abusei wish it was not the end, but it was sad how rei died, I would have done the same thing shinji did. |
| frograss 2003-02-25 ch 1, | abuseVery well done. Very calm and introsopective with a touch of emotional turbulance. BTW, the basketball action was very much a part of the story - It's purpose was to show that Rei was human - That she had normal desires within her - She was not a doll. Thanks for sharing. |
| C-kun 2002-05-17 ch 1, | abuseCongratulations! You did write something really good! I think that was the best Shinji reflection fic that I've ever read! I'm not much for reflection fics, but that was very well done, and Shinji was definately... Well, he wasn't quite right, but he was right enough. More than. It was a wonderful take on Shinji. Anyway. I'm typing a lot. I'll stop now. |
| Kompi 2002-01-12 ch 1, | abuse't was good if you ask me. Ended alot better than I thought it would at first. An original take. I liked it alot. Of course.. yeah.. the concept of 'god' is a hazy one.. NGE refers to it yet not.. I guess it's a matter of interpretation. (was the only part too that rubbed me the wrong way, so to speak) |
| Melkor1 2002-01-12 ch 1, | abuseFirst, my gripes- The basketball plot device felt alittle awkward...sort of "off" the NGE plane, i s'pose. Secondly, whenever the word "God" comes up, i tend to get distracted. Eva has very little to do with God, though for the sake of plot it did borrow alittle from western mythology... Of couse, it wasn't as glaring as in other fics. You'll notice that these are extremely minor, even petty gripes. That's because i find little to fault with this one. Congrats! You somehow managed to avoid the same old stale Shinji-Rei-oh-so-happy-together formula that has been done to death here. No traces of purposeless WAFF or bad melodrama, and Shinji's narrative is pretty much right on. The remembrance he has of Rei is touching, while not being TOO(it still is alittle) sentimental as to have a negative effect. Kudos. |
