afitre 2009-11-26 . chapter 13She murmured through her fingers, “A…a boogeyman.” You-you. You. Posted that. On the internet. Nice. |
 afitre 2009-11-26 . chapter 11bit like bitting...is that a pun? |
afitre 2009-11-26 . chapter 8Maybe he was scarred of spiders. Maybe he was. Maybe he was scared of spiders. Maybe. Lulu’s spell went rouge-and then it went rogue. ;) lightening enlightening lightning. Yeah, I don't get it either. |
 Dark-SideOfThe-Coin 2009-11-17 . chapter 14Amazing, and in a sense beautiful as well.
You are, without a doubt, an amazingly talented writer. The last two chapters were awesome. A little humor in the 13th, and the 14th was appropriately solemn. It had a sense of sadness to it while never breaking Rikku's spirit, which is almost impossible to do.
I can't wait for the X-2 chapters to start. This story is awesome and deserves all the praise it's getting! |
mafalda157 2009-11-17 . chapter 14So much love for the last three chapters. You striked the perfect balance of angst and funny lines. And it remided me of all the reasons I always loved Rikku, like the way she braves on despite the tragedies in her life.
Looking forward to the X-2 crackships and the return of Gippal! :) |
VVolf 2009-11-15 . chapter 14While the previous chapters were funny as hell, I loved this chapter the most. The ending scene with the ribbons was brilliant. One of the best Rikku goodbyes scenes I've ever seen.
"but that wouldn’t be right and the ground would hurt, maybe not as much as this did, but anymore hurting would just about kill her." Incredible. You managed to insert a humorous thought in such a sad scene, and immediately back to a gut wrenching emotion smoothly in a blink of an eye. Now that's talent.
I hope to see more of your sad chapters to be honest. The humor was excellent, don't get me wrong. This chapter really touched me, that's all.
Definitely adding this to alert, cheers! Can't wait for the X-2 arc. |
Nyridian 2009-11-15 . chapter 13I find it hilarious that Lulu apparently has a stubborn standpoint of what aliens look like.
.. she thinks of little -green- men.
It blew my mind.
Way to go Rikku for making it -slightly- less awkward as they walk through the stomach of Tidus' father. Because ya know, nothing says family bonding time like walking through your old man's digestive track. |
 Dark-SideOfThe-Coin 2009-11-10 . chapter 12. . . . . BRILLIANT!
I love it! One of the things that I love about Rikku is that even though she is wild, hyper, and somewhat annoying is that she sometimes breaks out of that to show something deeper!
Unlike Yuffie, who is a solid bubbly character, Rikku showed deeper emotion in FFX when Home was destroyed. She broke out of that stereotype and revealed that she was more than just a hyper blonde!
And you expressed that perfectly! I've always said that Rikku is not a complete, hyper idiot. I'm glad that you see that too, not everyone does.
Anyway, I loved this chapter. Light humor where it should be, good characterizations and character interaction as always. All-in-all, another amazing chapter! Keep up the good work! |
Musing Joplin 2009-11-10 . chapter 12This chapter is my new favorite for the perfect flow, the running gag with Pus throughout the entire story even amidst the sadness of this chapter, and the remarkable dialogue. You had at least ten gold lines.
Also, your NaNo should bite its tongue. NaNoWriMo ate my spirit and soul two years ago.
Last thing: You damn consistent stunning writer, you. :D |
mafalda157 2009-11-09 . chapter 11This is some delicious crack, and I'm loving every minute of it. :D Just the premise is pure genius. Obviously, the only acceptable universe is one where Rikku has a harem. And the execution! Flawless. Rikku's stream of conciousness is a joy to read. It brings a huge smile to my face and also the first signs of a sugar high. I read the whole fic in one sitting and I couldn't stop giggling.
I tried to pick my favourite chapter of them all, after careful consideration and lots of re-readings. I was torn between the first Auron one, if only for the punchline, and the Lulu ones for the sheer amount of hotness, but I decided it just isn't fair to the rest of the awesome chapters. So, yeah. Equal awesomeness! (And hotness!)
I'm also so very glad to see that you're continuing this. Can't wait for the next update! <3 |
Selryam 2009-11-06 . chapter 4 EPIC HUMOR. You have a way with exaggerating characters just enough to make them still themselves, but hilarious. |
 Dark-SideOfThe-Coin 2009-11-05 . chapter 11"Sacreligious sneezes" . . ? . . Interesting . . .
I like how you continue to reference Gippal's supposed girlfriend. Very like to Rikku to hold grudges. As always, her brain and mouth move at very different, very high speeds, making whatever she says jumbled, contradicting, and all around hilarious!
For some reason some of the funniest parts of the story are when Yuna is somehow involved. Example: Tries to comfort Rikku, they fall off cliff, Rikku denies looking up cousin's skirt.
How is that not funny?
Anyway, another amazing chapter! I'm looking forward to the next! |
Nayerin 2009-11-05 . chapter 11See, I love you're stories. Whenever this gets updated I get exited. And giggle a lot. That might be a combo of excitement and Rikku humor. But whatever.
I love your portrayal of Rikku. For awhile, I haven't liked you're portrayal of the cracktasticness that is Tidus and Rikku in the same room, but the last chapter with the two of them sulking over Seymour just fixed it all up for me.
This chapter, is that moment. Because, really, Rikku is a little awkward in the party. The only one more awkward is Kimarhi, who's job is to stand there and look formidable, kick ass (less than Auron, but slightly more so than Wakka or Tidus), kill things, and be nice to Yuna. And then there's Wakka, who likes her until he figures out she's *gasp* Al Bhed, and that's not really focused on to much. Rikku cries at him and everything is all better (not to disregard that moment cause it was a good moment). And now you have.
So in short, minus my excess babbling wall of text that you don't have to read through, thank you for this chapter.
And NaNoWriMo is evil. Seriously. It crawls into you're head and makes you think it's nice and fun but it lies. |
Dark-SideOfThe-Coin 2009-11-01 . chapter 10Awkward moments followed by destroyed awkward silences due to Rikku's habit of nonstop chatter . . I love it!
An unusual infatuation with Seymour . . makes for very interesting twists as well as some unusual thoughts(and dreams). Rikku's comment about Yuna's breasts was very . . awkward(reminiscent to the first sentence).
I like how Rikku is constantly switching between opinions about members of the pilgrimage, very like her. Yuna's stunned, embarassed silences put her in perfect character. Lulu's stoic sarcasm and Wakka's usual dislike of Rikku. And, of course, Rikku and Tidus' interactions are perfect!
This story is amazing!
P.S.-Thanks for the compliment, even though it was intended for ALL reviewers. |
Dark-SideOfThe-Coin 2009-10-28 . chapter 9It's hard not to wake people up while reading this.
Another awesome chapter. I like Auron's reactions to Rikku's [constant] questioning. As well as the sexual jokes, those were quite genius. Lulu's sarcasm was hilarious and the overall character interaction, once again, perfect.
My favorite part though is Rikku's comment about hiding the sword. Very funny! I can't wait for the next chapter! |
