I normally don't like asgard, thor, and what not- but I loved this story. Your Loki just makes me laugh for some reason. And I have to admit that I like the parentalness of Odin. It's very, very, well written. Thanks for posting!

One quick thing I don't know about the Marvel version, but in the Myth Odin only had one eye, he gave the other one up to see the future and be able to help his people perpare for the Final Battle.
