'And I loved you so much, Spinelli'-Heartbreaking. Jason's life is so much about loss and denial and when he finally finds happiness it's ripped away from him in the most banal way possible. The way you constructed this is so wonderful. The reader spends all his time wondering why Jason is being such a jerk. I also kept pondering why Spinelli would hang around after being treated like that but of course we end up knowing why. It is so sad and I always like ghost stories where it's a shock to the ghosts to realize they're dead. Still, what does Spinelli do the minute he finds out his altered state? He tries to comfort Jason that's what...that's the truth of his mighty heart.

Wow! I loved the lead up -- all the way through, Spinelli, the ways he's acting, the way he's seeing things, his confusion -- and of course, the end. Bam! Not expected, and all the better for it. And it is a bit heartwrenching, and a bit sweet (in a sad way, obviously) , but I loved it to bits. Two thumbs up!

aaw. poor Jason. wait poor spinelli. i mean he's a ghost. im sure he'll go crazy especially if Jason moves out of the house you know. and what with the maxie trip. is she a ghost. cause they did speak. does she know there dead. didnt sound like it to me. or she could be angry she's dead. and that warrented that response. so many question.,
