Maybe add a short J/A epilogue, where John tells Aeryn that he loves her?? Hey, I'm a very romantic person!

It read like an ep, the plot was plausible to the point of being visual and the characters true. Raised some interesting issues around our hidden dark side...
So, for all the traumas inflicted upon your writing time, hope it was as much as a joy to write as it was to read.

Great job, Jess. The characters are spot on and an evil Pilot is a masterstroke. Take the most innocuous member of the crew and turn them demonic. Lovely idea! Thoroughly enjoyed every part and really appreciate your determination to finish. Can empathize with a story turning into a beast that won't die (**cough** Bounty **cough**). Hope your life is somewhat straighter now and keep up the great work.

hey :) am a wee bit late, but with good reasons i wont go into here. anyway, to make up for my tardiness, i read it all from the beginning. it took me a while, but was well worth it. :)

i know what a labour of love this has been for you, and for what its worth, im very glad you stuck with it through all the troubles. it is, simply put, magnificent. ive read a lot of fanfic in my time (and written a few too!) and this is, without exception, the best ive ever read. this includes fanfic of all genres. you are blessed with an enormous talent, and i dont doubt that one day ill be visiting jesspallas.com, home of

as for 'breaking point' itself, it would make one helluva an episode. i dont know if your scriptwriting skills are honed yet, but if they are, then it is my suggestion that you give this one a go and send it off to the evil genius kemper! it is simply breathtaking from start to finish. your narrative, description, characterisation are all to the highest level. and the storytelling (for it is that really matters) is marvellous. right from the start, through pilot's descent into madness to the crew's perils to the 'rescue' plan to aeryn's reluctant redemption and finally to the at times fraught, frightening and touching denouement, you had me gripped. kir was yet another impressive original character (though i wished youd given us just a little bit more of him), and the little universe concerning the wradi and the tentrite and all its accroutements was inspired. if i have to find fault, it would be only in the revelation that aeryn might be affected by the radiation coming through zhaan and kir rather than through the scene in pilot's chamber, which for me would have worked better dramatically.

woo! this is a long review! but i think you deserve it after all the hard-work and heart youve put into this! :)

Wow. This is quite possibly the best fanfiction I've ever read! (I'm glad I stumbled upon it when it was already finished, too. I don't know if I could have stood the suspense!) It was just wonderful! Congrats on finally finishing your epic (Even if it was a month or two late) and I'm eagerly awaiting any other stories you write!

I loved this fic! It took me a couple of days to read it all but everytime I thought they were going to resolve things something else happened! It really kept you on your toes!

some really nice touches in these last 2 chapters (particularly liked ending of ch 7).

I was soooo worried Pilot would feel awful afterwards...so not sure I wholly agree with the reaction you've given (I think he would - rightly or wrongly - feel some responsibility) but that's a minor matter and in no way stopped me enjoying it or appreciating the writing. And your take on it was GOOD!

Wow! You've done it again, Jess - a truly first-rate fic. Every bit as good as "Unseen Hands", if not better! Superb characterisation, rich descriptions - absolutely fantanstic.

If I had to quible, I might say that if anything it's a little too long - though I'd have to re-read the lot to be sure. I guess when you're writing episodically you never get the chance to to a full edit of the finished work. If this were to be made into an episode (or two) it would probably need a bit more polishing - again, it's a question of being able to "see the whole picture", which you can't do when writing this way.

All in all - I loved it! Keep it up Jess!
