Great story

As always - something so beautifuly written and from a totally different perspective. I hope this wasn't how it happened and yet I belive it could very easily be so. BRAVO!

Wish I could say I liked this- I just don't see Sara this regretful or insecure. Or lacking the love for Gil that would have had her open up before this. Good take on what his reaction could/would have been as far as her going back to Las Vegas.

All of that makes sense. Her emotions. Their continued lack of communication, as many couples have. But it begs the question of when Sara will stop giving herself reasons to run away. She's a strong person who should have said, "No" while in the states because that would have not only helped her but would have helped them as a couple.

That was great. I hope you will continue further with this story line

Such a sad tale for what was hopefully a fairytale ending. But it was very in tune with all the GSR angst we have experienced over the years.

oh, I really hope you intend to continue this in a sequel...man, what powerful emotions you relayed using so little words...and yes, I wondered when I saw Sara all happy in the opening if it was the same "Sidle smile" that just didn't reach from her heart...and I, too, wondered: if she was happy here, what did that make him so far away, alone again?...please consider continuing their story with a happier farewell at the airport, and perhaps some of their continuing conversations across the sea...this was to be their "happily ever after"...can it exist if they continue to be apart?...just an amazing story...bravo...

I really enjoyed this. It's a different take on this whole storyline, with the angst and all but that's not a bad thing.

Plus, it's a story by you...so it's gonna be awesome. I can only hope for more GSR stories from you!

It's not where my mind goes when I think of current GSR, yet I like the difference of it.

Well, this was certainly a different shade of gray from many reds and blues that were Parisian GSR fics I had read. Well written, and the hanging ending gave it a good angsty conclusion.

I'm torn. On the one hand I loved it because I never thought of her return to Vegas from this perspective - the scene of her becoming a housewife raised a chuckle BTW - and on the other hand I can't help think that she'd moved on from all her insecurities and also that she'd have come back with his blessing.

I loved it regardless. It was well-written and a different take on things. Thanks for sharing.
