Very unique look at that moment in the 'white'. Perhaps, if we go by the Aerith in the now disowned 'Maiden' short, she would be the type to say 'with me where you belong'. I enjoy slightly sideways looks at the 'with just a twist, what might have been'. I like that in this one, you let Cloud make the conscious decision to return to his family. Nicely written :D

Wow, you portray Aerith as being very, um, nasty. Even though I don't like seeing her this way, the story itself was cute. I absolutely love the Cloti pairing. Excelent writing, as usual. I love reading your stuff. =)

I don't like Cloud being dead, but I love the scene you're talking about in AC/C where he's in the "floaty whiteness". I think it's because his position is so vulnerable, so relaxed (so dead, yeah). But he's still, not moving, as he is not often otherwise, and I can study his features. So handsome--it seems strange now when I remember the first time I watched the movie. The androgyny was new to me, weird. But I got over that quickly. Aerith is different here. Possessive... or perhaps just realistic. After all, dead is dead. I know he is in that "thin place" between alive and dead, when something can tip the scales either way. Aerith understands things one way, but Cloud can sense Tifa's panic and that he can hear her at all seems to be tipping the scales in the other direction. Oh, you are very clever, I think. I just got 'it'. Hearing is thought to be probably the last sense to 'deactivate' when a person dies. "The haze was clearing ...one word". Tifa's call got thru. Very nice, MakoRain.
