Wow, this was really beautiful! It almost read like a poem. Lol, well I'm not quite sure what poems are supposed to read like, but the whole thing was very poetic. I loved almost every line so it would be hard to comment on anything in particular. I think that's an interesting viewpoint that he's built up a glittering cage for himself to hide in. I never thought of it like that. That's a really interesting view point. I've often thought of the human body as a cage for the soul so I guess that's kind of similar. Both situation involve wearing your cage. Anyway, this was nicely done! I'm going to read it again ^_^

My oh my. To make it short, reading that just reminded me why I wrote that dedication to you. You are so insanely amazingly talented that it takes my breath away, almost every single time. You are a real artist, a painter with words.

Amazing. You are not satisfied? You should be. More perfection would almost be devine.

(In addition, it reminds me of two things: First, an unfinished story of mine set during 'Crisis Core' timeline. Less poetic, of course. Second, the song "Black Rose" by Trapt.)
