Finally, what I've been waiting for since I first saw "Echoes of the Past" - an ending that's actually meaningful, instead of the formulaic laughing and joking around we saw in the episode. I just couldn't believe that Hawke wouldn't have been powerfully affected by what had happened to him. Thanks for writing this.

Always thought Hawke was hiding his real feelings at the end of this episode and would have liked them to have picked up on that in the next episode, but of course, they didn't go in for that sort of thing, probably wanting to keep Hawke enigmatic and mysterious.

Nicely done as always. Made me stop and think.

Very nice and an interesting take on things. I like it when you write short stories that tie up the lose ends at the ends of episodes we got to see.

By the way, I like your longer stories too, so don't quit writing those!

This is very interesting. I've always considered all the joking around at the end of this episode as somewhat out of place and that they should have pursued Hawke's feelings about being confronted with 'Sinjin' at last. Maybe he would have been a bit more upset and demonstrative about it than you've shown here, but as you point out, he doesn't really like to show his feelings to anyone, even Dom, but at least talking about it a little might have helped him not to dwell on it and have it cause him more nightmares. I guess it really would have been hard for man of few words like Hawke to be able to find the right words to fully express his true feelings.

As always nicely written and atmospheric, and thought provoking.
