Yay! A new story for Hikaru no Go and I want you to know that I really like it so far. I can't wait to read what's coming next. There are a few things I wish to say though. Every once and a while you make a spelling mistake but overall I think your English is pretty good so don't be too ** yourself. I think Akiri's name in the manga/anime is actually Akari. And for romance in this story, there doesn't have to be any if you don't want to do it and sometimes when you're writing a story it sometimes just magically appears without the author even trying. So don't worry about it, they're still young and this story just started so you have plenty of time. I will say I am more partial to Akira/Hikaru because of how close their rivalry makes them but if you can make other characters work then I'm all for it. I was also wondering if the fact that she's a girl is going to be widely known especially in her Pro career (you don't have to answer if it gives away some of the story I just wanted to tell you what I was thinking while reading this). Also does that mean she only plays women Pro players? Is it segregated in Japan? (Just curious and I won't hold it against you if you don't know I'm just too lazy to find out for myself). Good luck, keep writing, and keep up the good work!

Out of curiosity, do you know what Okama means? Seriously.

You, as the writer, called Hikaru a she.

A she dressing up like a boy is NOT okama. Okama is an effiminate guy dressing up as a woman, a drag queen. And most reference actually stated the said guy is probably gay as well.

The other point was your constant mentioning of cross dressing. So Hikaru like to wear male clothing, that doesn't mean cross-dressing, which refers more to wearing of clothing commonly associated with the other gender within a society.

Simply, her wearing pants and guys shirt doesn't mean crossdressing because it's more widely recognised as unisex clothing articles. Now, if she started wearing men's kimono, that's be another story altogether.

This story was really entertaining to read. Serious at times, and humorous in others -a great blend. I also like how Hikaru and Akari and such good friends:

Poor Ogata will never live that meeting at Touya Meiin's salon down. And Hikaru's dressing tendencies continue to cause much confusion...

I like the story so far and the fact that you change things around from the canon version.

I loved the last part of this chapter the last paragraph was beautiful! ^-^ How everyone there is supporting Touya, but it doesn't matter because unseen to everyone else Sai is supporting her. I really loved that!
