That was really nicely done! Merrick and Shayla are so sweet, and the complications of their relationship (... well Merrick's his own worst enemy really!) shone through your writing. I really love the way you craft and build up your characters emotions. The ending was perfect, it didn't feel forced, and it was pretty hopeful! Thank you for writing this! this is a good story, could you do one showing Animus/Kite appearing first to Jungle fury (where the animal spirits gather around him as if to meet a old friend then at dai-shi palace telling him he will fall at the hands of both the rangers and jarrod.

I love Merrick and Shayla. I think you captured the essence of Merrick just right. His thoughts and actions were very much him. I loved the thoughts about Shayla and the part at the end, it was so sweet.

Merrick and Shayla have that fairytale story, but there is sadness and the dark that goes with it.

Great job. Loved it!
