Smile-I'mTheEndOfAllThatYouSee 2009-12-11 . chapter 1 Reminds me of the song Dani California by: Red Hot Chili Peppers. Seriously, I started singing the poem to the rhythm of the song. Both your poem and the song have similar plots and characterisitcs. Listen to the song and look at the lyrics, and see if you agree with me.
My favorite stanza was:
There were horror stories
Out there about girls who
Hitch-hiked their way
Across the states.
Their
Naked
Mutilated
Violated

Champagne.Scene 2009-11-10 . chapter 1Okay, so I'm just posting my review from LJ onto here, but one review seemed awfully lonely so I figured I defiantly had to add another review because this is just completely underrated.
So, I just caught this piece and now I think I'm ready to die in envy it was just so beautifully written. I've always imagined Ms. P as a tragic figure (in that beautiful cliche way that makes you sigh) so this verse work is becoming a quick favorite.
I love how I can see some parts of Sam reflected in Ms. P (though technically, it's Ms. P reflected in Sam). This whole thing was just amazing, tying in the California scene in with Ms. P's dreams and so on just made the emotion really shoot right from the monitor and into the reader (or,at least, in my case it did).
'J'MawMaw felt sick at heart,
Sent guilt through
Phone lines like
Poisoned arrows,
Apples.'
^ That quote is my favorite, I can relate to it and I'm amazed you captured so much in so little (though, I'm not surprised).
Effulgent (I'm recycling words here, even though they don't necessarily apply) Work.
