As usual...loving this. It does seem a little mean or thoughtless of Sookie to wear an ante-bellum dress to a party where Bill will see her. I do like the fact that they have made up and will, at least, be friends, though.

Hdgcat, I can't come up with enough positive adjective to describe this story! You've captured Sookie's character brilliantly, and I love that you have made Sookie the one to make the first gesture toward Bill in the quest for friendship. Unlike CH's version, your Sookie shows more emotional maturity in that relationship as well as in the one with Eric - holding her own when Eric shows something akin to jealousy about her having invited Rasul to her party. I LOVE how Eric takes command & tells her that they WILL have their talk after the party - no more trying to run from it. Finally! This is much better than CH's version, for me anyway. If I didn't know better - I would think that It was reading her - that is how well you've captured the spirit of these characters while making them your own. Marvelous job & you have NO reason to doubt yourself. Again, I want a signed, first edition of your first novel! You are a WRITER! Go for it!

Oh I am loving this story. I think all the costumes are great so far. I'm not even going to guess what costume Eric's going to be wearing. I'm sure that it will be spectacular though. You're crazy to be starting two fics at once. I can't wait to see where this one is going. I wouldn't guess it would turn out to be vampwich. I eagerly await your update.
