I can't say that I have read Good Omens, but I do love Terry Pratchett! I'll have to hunt down this one and read it.

As for your piece - I thought it was beautiful. Even though I didn't know the characters I could still appreciate it. The mentions to world events were nice. I can't say that I appreciate references to events in the US the way an American might. But I can say that I thought it was a good point that even the most terrible we forget, even when we band together as/after it happens. The one event I hope nobody forgets is the second world war. I doubt it has as much meaning for US citizens as it does for Europeans - and I very much doubt it has as much meaning for me as it does for a Pole or a Jew. ;w;
