oh my god. This story is amazing! After Roxas died I was in tears for the rest of part one and had to go away to calm down for a bit before attempting to read part two. This story is incredible. I love it. You're an incredible writer. Many have attempted to move me to tears, few have succeeded. You're one of the few to succeed. I love that Axel and Roxas get to stay together forever now. BUT YEAH, I WAS STARTING TO FREAK OUT. I DIDN'T KNOW HOW IT WAS GOING TO TURN OUT, AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES THE ENDING SO MUCH SWEETER STILL.

OH MY FUCKING GOD. THIS CHAPTER WAS JUST AMAZING. A) THERE WAS AXEL SUFFERING, B) THERE WAS HOTNESS AND ROXAS AND AXEL BEING *HAPPY* AFTER SUCH TERRIBLE SUFFERING (BECAUSE WHILE (A) MIGHT SOUND SADISTIC, IT WAS JUST REALLY BITTERSWEET, BECAUSE IT SHOWED HOW MUCH HE CARED BUT OH, HE WAS SO EMPTY WITHOUT ROXAS). OH, FUCK, IT'S DOING IT AGAIN WITH THE SCROLLBAR. THIS MUST BE WHY I HATE USING INTERNET EXPLORER.

BUT ANYWAY, THIS CHAPTER HAD IT ALL. EVERY SINGLE ELEMENT OF WONDER AND AWE, AND HOLY HELL, IT WAS HOT WITH THE AKUROKU, SO UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL, ESPECIALLY AFTER AXEL'S UTTER TORMENT AT ROXAS' DEATH. I WAS SO HAPPY, I MUST ADMIT, THAT WEATHER DIDN'T PERMIT THEM TO BURN ROXAS, BECAUSE THAT WAS DEFINITELY THE MAKE-OR-BREAK PART OF THE DEAL. FIRE = BYE-BYE, AND AXEL WITHOUT ROXAS... IT HONESTLY MAKES ME FEEL SICK TO THE STOMACH, IMAGINING AXEL HAVING TO HAVE LIVED THAT SORT OF LIFE, WITH ROXAS SIMPLY *GONE*. OH, MAN. I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO SIT DOWN, EXCEPT I'M ALREADY SITTING.

SALEM, YOU ARE... AN ABSOLUTE WONDER. PERFECT. THIS WAS THE MOST WONDERFUL AND EXCRUCIATINGLY GORGEOUS HALLOWEEN FIC I'VE EVER READ, AND JUST AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE FROM START TO FINISH, ONE OF THE BEST YOU'VE EVER WRITTEN SIMPLY FOR THE FACT THAT IT WAS LIKE GETTING BEATEN UP EMOTIONALLY. AXEL'S DREAMS WERE BEAUTIFUL, AND SO FULL OF LONGING, AND EVERY OUNCE OF IT FLOODED OUT TO THE READER - EVERY SINGLE EMOTION YOU PACKED INTO THIS WENT DIGGING STRAIGHT FOR THE HEART WITHOUT DELAY. IT MIGHT HAVE TAKEN YOU A LOT OF EFFORT TO GET IT OUT ON TIME, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT (HAHA, FOR US READERS, IF NOTHING ELSE ;P) THIS IS SUCH A WORK OF ART, HONESTLY. Salem, did you know that you're a goddess? I couldn't ever even hope to write the way you write. This is beautiful, and tragic, and so filled with emotion. It's so brutally accurate, in the context. The suspicion, the witch hunt, the unforgiving attitudes, the religious articles, the way Roxas was taken in the beginning, the way he progressed/degraded... And throughout, his absolute innocence and ignorance of it all... oh, god, it's heart-breaking. And then, there's Axel! AUGH, my stomach is churning so badly, he is so *intense* and *raw*, reading his agony is an agony in itself.

And, oh, man, the scene of Roxas' hanging. I've been sitting here shuddering, because of the terror in Roxas' eyes, and Axel's sheer, unwavering, screaming desperation to save him. Jesus bloody christ, Salem. ;_; Hoiw, how, how do you do it?

Oh /Axel/ you angsty little ball of angst. You didn't think something as trifling as /death/ would keep Roxas away from you, did it? Though I loved his little flashes of jealousy wondering just /how/ Roxas learned all those nice new tricks to teach him (and those were some rather delightful tricks, it must be said...).

I also loved that Roxas was like, going off on this total /tangent/ in the end - and the banter came back! And it was indeed happy lulz-worthy. "Yes, actually, you’re terrible." *snort* Easily my favorite line in the whole thing. That whole conversation, actually. *happy sigh* Ahh, I wasn't sure how you'd manage to turn it around from that /horrendous/ cliff hanger in the last chapter, but you did and I commend you for it. *Is once again a happy, happy fangirl*

So! First review in the new apartment! And it is /oh/ so tempting to simply walk into the next room and freak out at you in person, but certain precepts must be obeyed, dammit!

First of all - hurrah for taking inspiration from classic lit! I was grinning like an idiot everytime I noticed direct allusions to the book, and I /love/ the idea of Axel as a smithy, even if he's only an apprentice. And his and Roxas's bantering is such pure lulz.

AND THEN YOU TOOK MY HAPPY LULZ AWAY! I mean, what the HECK, dear? I KNEW the minute Roxas made up his mind to go to Mass everything was going to go to hell in a handbasket, but REALLY? You leave us HERE? REALLY?? (LOL, have I reached the decible level of our dear author friend yet? XD)

BAAWW. I was all like "Nuu, Roxas, run - IT'S THE VAMPIRE AND HE'S TOTALLY PUTTING YOU IN A TRANCE AND RUUNN, DAMMIT! *armflail*" But he didn't and I was all D:.
