I love it. The idea has a million possibilities, but I'd leave it there until you get hit by inspiration for a larger story that he/she could play a small role in. As for names... we have a mutt named inu, but I don't think she'd be satisfied just calling it "dog." We didn't want to get too attached. Heh.

If you do continue it, I think it would be funny if various characters give it their own nicknames. Mamoru could call it something horrid for example.

The dog could be a good way to expand on Haruka's personality and a true member of the team if your version of Igawa has his way. (LOVED the driver's training!) Again though, I'd only go on if there was a larger tale to be told. Of course, sometime starting the story gives you that inspiration. I'll just put an alter on this to be sure...

Haha, this was good. I loved how at the end you mentioned how Mamoru would warm up to him after his accident. Neither of them would let him out. If you could do another chapter that would be awesome. I can't think of any names for daogs in japanese beyond the usual or popular.

never heard this before, the summary caught my attention because I have a Japanese (foreign student) friend who's name is Haruka, but I have no idea about who this people actually are, might as well look it up, sorry for such a dumb, out of topic review, I'll go back to it after I figure all this people out ^^
