Squeeee! I loved it! I feel like reading the big one again, but what I actually miss is the journey we all lived with the story and the characters...

Oh Val, I'm so thankful that when I was a babbling emotional wreck you hold my hand and got me thru it! If I had come to read this I'd known maybe the ending, sort of, but all the details of both their journeys were so important and this Jasper is so different, I didn't love him less but he's definitely different.

I love the fact that Edward had the guts to come out to everyone because he wanted Jasper to be proud of him, even when he couldn't see him anymore. I'm so glad his family were supportive.

I love Jasper for being brave enough to go and find Edward and risk rejection. It was such a leap of faith for a world-weary, cynical escort wanting to be with a rich, successful business executive, particularly when Edward had always been dedicated to staying in the closet.

Oh my God I loved this made my heart melt, I love this story so much...

After M&A last week I thought it’s time to read the OS that started this story. And I have to say the end makes me hopeful that Edward and Jasper get their happily ever after together.

I don’t think you’ll follow exactly that line though. That would be too obvious. And what takes place here would happen far ahead in the story. And by the way Jasper and Edward are acting in this OS there’ll be a lot of drama before that HEA. Not that I mind, I love drama, though it does breaks my heart sometimes ;)

Okay, let’s get to this OS. Jaspers desperation in the beginning was so palpable. To him it seems that he’s just some kind of boy toy for Edward. A nice distraction, while he is in Seattle and a possibility to live out his true self that he’s hiding while at home. I can understand why he thinks that way. In his eyes he’s still just a hooker, an escort and Edward pays for him to give him satisfaction. He doesn’t see that Edward feels the same way. And he thinks he doesn’t deserve his love anyway. The conversation between Jasper and Peter from the last M&A chapter springs to my mind, where Jasper says he’s a whore and that love isn’t for them. Peter told him that love is for everyone, and that’s just so fucking true. You can’t control when or who you fall in love with. Even though Jasper don’t wants to be in love with Edward because it interferes with his ability to do his job properly and he “knows” they live in complete different worlds.

And Edward is in love with Jasper, too. In the beginning he is just too much of a coward to come out. He’s afraid his parents would push him away after that and that his coming out would be bad a bad reputation for the business. I can understand that in some ways. Even though the acceptance of homosexual people has grown in the last years there are still too many careers or parts of live, where you are not allowed to be gay. And to fill a high ranking job in an international business may include the “no-gay-sign”.

In comparison to that I think it was the best Jasper could do to not meet Edward at the airport to go to Chicago with him. Edward had to feel the pain of Jaspers absence and this could be the cause he eventually had the balls to tell everybody he’s gay. And all his fears were for no reason. It’s nice to see his parents love him no matter what.

And the end… I LOVE the end and that Jasper is the one who finally came to Edward. They both couldn’t be happy without another and Jasper was the one doing the first step. That really was courageous because he didn’t know Edward was out by then… or maybe he knew? It wouldn’t be the first time he’s stalking Edward and I guess it would have made some headlines as Edward told everybody he’s gay.

What’s there left for me to say but I love this OS and I really really hope the boys will get their HEA in the story too. They deserve it – and maybe there’s a little drug addicted whore who deserves it too *coughs* ;)

Sweet jeebus, where the fuck have I been? I never even read the original one-shot that started the whole thing! Damn. When I saw a post on the forum talking about a o/s I had to do some research (and yes, the Mission Impossible theme was playing in the background).

I love how you've taken a stripped-down one-shot and created the dynamic multi-character saga in the full story. I'm hooked to the whole thing. Just hooked.

at first i was irritated that there wasn't a clear indication of POV, but i realized that that meant that the following could have been spoken by either edward or jasper, demonstrating that they felt similarly towards each other. interesting technique.
