Of course, one thing you've always do well, their characterization! Perfectly IC, even though it was almost Kanda's death, it's good that it isn't sappy. Their bickering is somewhat endearing in the midst of the bitter-angsty atmosphere. And my, Allen's monologue is a heart-wrenching one, too...

“So you’ve been living for that long? Wow, that sucks.”
Trust Kanda to say that. XD XD XD But I think that's what makes him so special. I love how you wrote Allen finally being able to feel again. It's like, being with Kanda gives him a sense of being a 'being', you know, like, existing for a purpose. I love that.

When Kanda called Allen's name, that was like, the punch line? I got all teary-eyed there. Especially when Allen thought about how he didn't want Kanda called his name as a 'goodbye'. That was WHOA.

The best part of this on is, still, Kanda's death. You described it really, really well and concluded it with just one word: Gone. It's.. I dunno, the impact is much more powerful. Like, I could literally feel how Allen felt Kanda's slipping away--It was awesomely awesome!

Though I have to say I still prefer Allen not killing himself. Eh, its just me and my knack on hating people do suicides, so. Ahaha. Nevermind that. Also, I think this piece would be much powerful if you elaborate more details.

I still want Allen to be killed by someone though... write an alternate ending? XD

As the Sun Rises is the kind of angsty fic that will make me sad, but in the end leave me basking in the warmth of love--for I am content enough knowing my Allen and Kanda will never be separated again.
