gut wrenching!I love the frank take on his addiction. I feel this is a more realistic characterization of what his struggle would look like.Then again we have 14 more episodes this season right?

This was a difficult read for all the right reasons. Excellent.

House wondering if he has ever adn will ever be first in someone's life is utterly heartbreaking and really makes his addiction and relapses make a lot of sense. How painful and lonely it would be to go through life, never feeling like you were important enough to someone. I started to cry at the thought.

Are all of these drabbles about separate instances of House relapsing or are they a sequence of relapses in chronological order?

I love how you write House's fear...the beginning, when he told Wilson he was scared was my favorite part.

Aw, jeez. *sigh* Poor House. (And poor Wilson as well.) Sobriety is so tough to attain and then hang onto . . . hope Dr. N can help him deal.

He didn't see the Vicodin increasing the pain because the pain was in the way, and because House is as human as everyone else--just as God made him. You really get that. This story is proof. Beautifully written. Thanks for posting it.
