Very nice (: though it reminded me a bit hauntingly of Twilight - Edward and Bella's abusive relationship spoke through this and it threw me off a little, but it was alright none the less. You have wonderful diction, but try not to switch POVs so much between paragraphs.

I took a look at your other Zutara story after reading this one.
This one is by far the better you've written. You let go af that narrative telling you used before and introduce some ansgty thought and a really well written dialog between the two.

The other stories lack in 'live' because of their long narrative parts with only at the end a take in the 'present days'. This one is more rich in its stucture and you reach a beautyfull and completely IC conclusion.
