I also have a fic planned that has a scene for them in a store buying foodstuffs, but both are kids in it, and so it's very different from when one of them is a lot older as it is in your fic... Zero's protectiveness and hair-ruffling in your fic make me squee non-stop at Kaname's unbearably cute reactions, gyah~ XD *melts throughout the whole fic*

Although it was sad that Zero kept telling him not to cry (at least he explained it was different than just bottling it up inside), and it's so sad that so far they've never seen each other again... D:
Hopefully they will at the academy or somewhere else one day... On their own or hopefully in a sequel some time maybe...? ;D

It would have been awesome if instead of leaving because dawn was arriving, little Kaname had stayed with them for a day, until the next night or so. X3

I really like this story. Little Kaname is so adorable. It must be love at first sight for him to be obsessed with vanilla pudding and honey lemon tea. Would you consider writing a sequel? I want to know Kaname's reaction when he sees Zero again and vice versa. Also, what is it about Takuma's grandfather?

Really nice one-shot. I like how you mix up the VK characters ages and relationships in your various stories. Zero is as always wonderful, and little Kaname is so sweet and polite even when he's hurting so much. I'll daydream a little about what might have happened if they met again later in life.

Aw… *melts into mush* Your descriptions are spot on as always, Lea! I have this awesomely cute image of a little tear streaked and sniffling Kaname in my mind now only I can’t even put it on paper. Zero was so lovely – even knowing the child was a vampire, he couldn’t leave him alone. I loved how Kaname fell into every single little ‘trap’ Zero sat and that image of him sitting on that bike! *faints from cuteness overdose* And when Zero turned Kaname to face him! *faints again*

‘The little one’? *melting and swooning spell starts again* Yes I know he’s darned cute, Zero, you don’t have to increase Kaname’s cuteness factor for me! Aw, vanilla… Kaname liked Zero ruffling his hair! *squeals, melts and swoons again, in random order* You know, if Kaname had needed blood then, I’m sure Zero would have given him some, hunter or not… how could anyone resists a starving child, especially one as well mannered and adorable as Kaname? And oh yes, Zero’s very amazing and fascinating too! Don’t even get me started on those lilac eyes, Kaname :D

Poor Kaname’s future doesn’t look so bright, does it? He already knows he won’t get any forehead-flicking or hair-ruffling even at this tender stage *tsks in sympathy*

Isn’t Zero a darlin’? *beams at him and resists the urge to glomp him, damp shirtsleeve and all* He’s so matured and… and… so lovely! *vocab has degenerated due to awesome cuteness of story* I so wish the ‘it’s time for home’ meant Kaname was going to stay with Zero but with him being a pureblood and the others hunters… *sighs* I loved that parting – sweet enough and still realistic… *glomps them both*

Aw, ten years have passed? *blinks* And here are the rest of the cast… and the honey lemon tea and the vanilla pudding *grins* Aido, Aido… he’s so much fun! And Takuma’s eyes and ears are as sharp as ever! *grins*

i absolutely loved this little AU...it was adorable. Zero looking after Kaname even though he was a vampire, and Kaname being so cute and small *grins at them*. You didn't bore me one bit throughout the whole thing; in fact i was hoping that it would go longer and they'd have more chance to bond!

i know you've said you won't add anything, but i have to admit that i would LOVE to see their reunion! This was very well written and lovely :) thank you for writing it!
