Love it! The highest praise I can give a story is to say it's just like watching and episode, and this certainly reads just that way. This story has all the right balances, good pacing, likeable OOCs and a strong story line. The banter worked and you kept the reader both entertained and informed You picked a good model to aspire to. S. Crispin should be proud.

Actually, I quite liked this story - it rang very true in many ways. I especially liked Illya's insistance on taking care of the ashes by himself - that was very true to form for his character.

Nicely written story! I really felt for loss of Manetti and Yeagley, both good men. Dr. Dabree really is one of those villains who just makes you shiver. Really glad she never got to start any of her nastiness on Illya. Napoleon, though, is my fav and I think you did a very good job of characterization on him here. The banter between him and Illya was spot-on.
