This is wonderfully written, and carefully thought out. You keep all your characters well in canon, I think--even if you are gratifyingly interested in correcting Orczy's irritating squeamishness about offering us views of Marguerite and Percy in the bedroom! I liked the image of Tony becoming agitated enough to put his fist through a wall; I liked the descriptions of Fleurette, and Amedee and the notion that their marriage would be the event of the season. But most of all, I liked the notion that Percy realizes it might take a bit of persuasion for Marguerite to embrace Fleurette once she realizes who Fleurette's father is...the absolute assurance with which Percy tells Chauvelin that "Lady Blakeney... will take her revenge on you for all the wrong you did her, by lavishing the treasures of her sympathy upon your child," in "Sir Percy Hits Back," always struck me as a bit of a stretch...
