LexietFive 7/14/12 . chapter 1Loved this so much. It's brilliant. It's true I hated that the mysterons were fired on without warning at least. But the issues of colour coding and naming spectrums personnel well I just howled. Westlife Angel? And using the Dulux colour cards? Priceless. Then Scarlet and Black friends at the end on their uppers. Fantastic. |
mithras90 5/19/12 . chapter 1Very clever story, nearly fell off my seat laughing at 'Captain Vermin Brown'. This would be such a great fan film, even if it only appeared on YouTube. Loved the humour - and great to see Paul and Conrad friends at the end. |
Maxie Kay 8/22/11 . chapter 1sheer genius. Absolutely bloody brilliant. |
Rollieo 122 4/26/10 . chapter 1I laughed so much at this, it was actually genius! I like how Paul still has his posh accent, but Conrad's has turned to a Mancunian one... The two of then actually being friendly for once is good. The confusion over the colour code-names was funny (and they turned to Dulux for ideas? Nice!), and the names for the Angels (Boyzone Angel etc. - I laughed so much at this)... This was an awesome story, and very well written! Rollieo 122 |
HeatherTN 3/21/10 . chapter 1I have absolutely nearly bust a gut with laughter at this tale! Yup, this is what happens when peace breaks out between Earth and the Mysterons. I love the character plays and especially the obvious effort you have put in with researching colour names of the spectrum operatives (The DCC!), and with naming the Angels. I bloody well hope this gets made in to a fan film! Hilarious and hysterical. Well done and I hope there will be more! Would love an actual episode on the working day of Metcalfe and Turner at Sky-TV... Brilliant! |
The Black Doll 1/7/10 . chapter 1Good fun. I must admit, I always wanted the Mysterons to win anyway. They were so much more interesting than all those clean-cut chappies . . . |
Flamin' June 11/24/09 . chapter 1Excellent stuff! I especially liked down-and-out Paul, and White's and Polyhymnia's recollections of the code-name issue! And what a pleasure to see someone else who likes Scarlet, Pratchett and Adams! Not many of us around... |
SpaceAnJL 11/11/09 . chapter 1For some reason, I could hear Bird and Fortune reading half of this. (Another recommend - Richard Morgan. Ignore his foray into fantasy fiction - shudderingly horrible. But his dystopian future fic is entertaining. 'Black Man' has some good stuff on the future of retired ops.) |
Mr Stereo1 11/11/09 . chapter 1Well written, but I'm afraid I got confused with all the changes in theme and writing style. |
