I think this is very well written. There's no dialogue, but you obviously know the characters well. Even though they really are so different, they do make for a good couple. One particular part I liked was when you said that Rufus would stay awake for Tifa's phone calls even though he had to be somewhere in the morning. It's nothing material, but sacrificing some sleep just so one can talk to a loved one on the phone really means a lot. And I think you have Rufus right on the money when you said he's not about the "sweet nothings" but Tifa doesn't need those so it works out.

All in all, I liked this. Good job!

Wow, I loved imagery in the first paragraph. Their relationship (and life together) came alive with those well-crafted details.

And you were able to say so much about the dynamics between the characters without having them talk. Quite a feat! Gonna go read your other RuTi fics now. :D

I love your subtle and suggestive approach to their union! Both characters are quite believable. I can appreciate that neither went through any major change in attitude for their union to be successful. Just quietly accepting each other, a fact that makes your one-shot all the more exceptional!

AW! This was really good, I think it fit them both well. And I don't know how much I like fall anymore after it snowed SIX, yes SIX, times in October! And on Halloween, too...but it was gone by the evening so I could take candy from strangers.
