This is what makes me a Lindsay fan more than a Danny one. I always loved her but after 416, it was Team Lindsay all the way. "Heart in her throat, Lindsay inched forward until she could see through the crack between door and door-frame." Is it bad that I can picture this? I wish you would continue, the whole thing is painful yet freeing to read seeing Lindsay's reaction to this.

I usually don't like Country, but I LOVE this song, it fits with her emotions perfectly! I'm ticked that Danny did this, but what sticks out in my mind is that he is doing this on the sheets that she helped him buy. Did he forget about that fact or was he just pushing it away in his mind. Favorite line "Only because if he stayed away, he wouldn’t be close enough to maim." Darn tootin'! You ended it with a perfect line "Her momma always taught her never to trust a cheatin’ man, and Lindsay Monroe would be damned if she ever let Danny Messer into her heart again."

I've enjoyed your stories in the past and am looking forward to reading more.
