I suppose that's certainly is correct... There wouldn't be Anew without Lyle. He has helped her fit into the ship's crew. Without him, she might not get to the point that she did in the anime. But then again, what does that serve her? Accomplishment, yes... Happiness, well, i will say no for sure. She's dead after all. There's nothing left for her as far as i am concerned.
