Detective Ban, you'd be surprised. The most qualified and well-educated animal behavioralists are quite often the LEAST knowledgable about the forces driving the behaviors they study. Maybe it's cognitive dissonance. Maybe it's university brainwashing. Personally, I think the problem is that they're taught that intuition is NOT an acceptable way of attempting to understand the world. Without intuition you can't have empathy, and without empathy... well... THIS happens.

I was hoping that the professor would end up with something a bit worse than a broken hand. But if the little Mewtwos are going to be rescued anyhow, I suppose it doesn't matter quite so much.

I loathe the proffesor now, after reading all the no evolution stories. He doesn't seem to notice some things that even ten year olds would, I doubt he earned the title of professor. But I find it interesting that the mewtwos could adapt, which makes them seem somehow like eevees... Anyway, I knew legendaries like mewtwo couldn't reproduce, but couldn't decide what would let them. I probably wouldn't have guessed the Substitute part. Ah, I love your sad and depressing stories, don't let them down.

I understoud the first time I read it. they die because substitute is a move and dose not last very long.

Mewtwo are the smartest Pokemon, Mewtwo were designed for fighting but don't neccessarily live for it...

Stupid fool of a professor, deserves what he got...One thing I like about your stories are how ignorant humans are, which is true. See, exposure to the internet helps you find smart people that I can actually respect, unlike my so-called peers at school...but if you've ever been to a chat room, or Neopets for that matter, you know that the internet actually can expose you to the broadest spectrum of idiots in the world.

I liked this, although it was rather sad. But, Mewtwo can't evolve, so it doesn't really fit into the "What if Pokemon couldn't evolve" theme.

easy, substitute creates a fake version of a mewtwo, no wonder they are dumb.

I give up. No one gets it. Okay, one of the free adult mewtwos teleports in and frees the captive mewtwo. The captive mewtwo uses substitute and then teleports out. The next day, the substitute is found and is assumed to be the dead mewtwo.

Substitute? As in the attack? If the Mewtwo's had that attack, they could Substitute themselves and escape. Then the Substitute's would die sooner or later as they wern't the real Mewtwo. That's my guess at the "Why Mewtwo's only live 6 months.
