This is great! I've very much enjoyed reading this! I don't tend to go for post-timeline stories very often- one, because I'm a little possessive of my Trek characters and two, I tend to best enjoy thinking of them in their "youthful" days- but this is one exception I made to that rule and I am glad. Nakita and Demora are adorable and I think Pavel makes a great father.

I still can't believe that Pavel's wife could possibly be as stupid and cruel leave such a wonderful, handsome, adorable Russian, especially when he loved her so much (and leave a child to boot!). Obviously the woman had a few screws loose. Maybe she was bipolar or something... or she was whisked away by aliens. Yeah, that's it; maybe a Romulan's revenge on Pavel Chekov?. . .
