I really hope that Edward's "Why" in this part:

“No, she knew nothing and was freaked when Rose told her,” Alice confirmed.

“Why?”

is questioning why she knew nothing, not why it freaked her out. Because I can't imagine being so sheltered that you wouldn't understand why imprinting would freak out a non-coven member. Of course, Edward does seem to have a huge blind spot in that region.

The last paragraphs make me think that Edward really did think they would settle into a tight mate bonding just like Alice and Jasper or Rose and Emmett. But he had only just made the resolution that "Whatever happens tomorrow, I would try to make friends with Bella." The intervening steps where he actually makes friends with her still hadn't happened.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was SO excited to read these and you did not disappointment one bit!

God, Edward really is a dick.

It's interesting to see how wistful he is when looking at the mated pairs. I wonder if he's trying to see Bella's personality as a facade because his is only a facade.

He says he's angry with Lauren, but his anger makes him short with Bella as well- I just can't get over how oblivious he is to non-coven social interactions.

For all his internal complaints about Lauren, he doesn't actually do anything about her and her actions.

Interesting that he recognized Lauren's barbs towards Bella and still didn't step up. Waiting to see what kind of person someone is isn't an excuse to forgo common courtesy!

*sigh* You know I love you, and I love Elemental, and now I love Elemental EPOV. You've succeeded in lowering the "Dickish Alert Level" down to "Tinybitdickishward" which is a definite improvement. Huzzah! (People don't say huzzah enough.) Things I loved:

1. Esme/Edward tenderness

2. Edward's relief at the imprint. He seems truly accepting.

3. The amount of times Tinybitdickishward thinks "Fuck." I get tingly when he swears. ;)
