whywhyWHYYY did you not make this a chaptered fic when you wrote it way back whenn? I usually don't like this kind of writing because it's just so damn melancholy, but you seriously have the amazing talent for it. And that ending is so ambiguous! Like you could continue it and either end it happily or tragically, both would work!
Sadly, I've only found two other Naruto fics that you've written, but I'm glad to see you've been active pretty recently, so I can't wait to read your other stufff.

Seriously love it when Sakura said she loves Sasuke too much to let anyone else kill him. It's just... sort of romantic in a weird and twisted way. Recent Naruto mangas are impossibily horrible that I don't know why I am still reading it - probably for the surprise - Kishimoto never fails to astonish me with his never ending twisted (and impossibly stupid) turns in the manga. But one thing I like is that Sakura finally has the determination to kill Sasuke - though the most recent manga shows that just won't happen anytime soon. Fandom gives me much more hope :P And this one-shot really has great potential to be turned into a fiction! Seriously - how much Sakura has progressed, how the now seemingly star-cross couple get together, etcetc. I really would love to read more!

Yes, unmentionable things should be done to Kishimoto but you are one of the best SasuSaku writers out there and you have been missed.

Frankly, as much as I enjoy SS cotton candy fluff, this feels much more real. If anyone has a right to kill Sasuke, its Sakura and the complexity of their relationship is written wonderfully.

"She dwells in the soft, buried colors of his palette, and is made so much more than a word." Especially the last part is very true, because in spite of everything, Sakura is important to him even if Sasuke himself does not consiously admit that.

And the very last sentence was absolutly brilliant. I held my breath.
