I would love to see Frank and Alice Longbottom's reaction to their son! Are you considering writing it? I hope you write it so that they love him just the way he is. He could be such a powerful wizard all he needs is some gentle encouragement. I'd like to see Frank or Alice or both tell off Augusta in no uncertain terms! And get him his wand! Neville is amazing!

I'd post more of a review, but I have a midterm in an hour and a half, so please forgive me.

I read this right after "Say Goodnight" and it's a wonderful sequel to that story. Neville and Harry do indeed have more in common than Harry has been able to see, but you nailed the difference between them on the head-Neville believes the bad things that are said about him; Harry does not. It's wonderful to see these two characters sharing this moment.

Love to see more of Neville from you. Maybe getting acquainted with his parents?

If it weren't for those wretched asteriks every other word I'd have loved it truly. I think it's grand and wonderful and all, but those things are terribly distracting... Good stuff anyway thoguh.

And he and Harry are so alike, and I don't think everyone notices that, and if they do, they just kind of overlook it, so it's good that you're here to point this out. *grin* I loved it. *another grin* Neville rocks. Aww! Excellent! I really liked the comparison/contrast between Neville and Harry's childhoods. Neville's low self-esteem is really believable, given the way people have treated him all of his life (I've been there). As always, a very "true" feeling story.

just the right mix of bitter and sweet in this story. a very believable and insightful look at neville, which i think works beautifully.
