I think...no, I know, you've ruined ninjas for me. *laughs* Or at least, you've ruined the G.I. Joe ninjas for me. Now every time I read another G.I. Joe fanfic, and they just so happened to mention either Snake Eyes or his apprentices, I catch myself comparing the other author's interpretation with yours. I still can't decide if that is a good thing, or not. *shrugs* In any case, brownie points for the interaction between Kamakura and the other characters, especially his fellow nin. Your writing is so smooth and fluid, I practically slid through the chapters and came to a comfortable stop. Props! Thank you for sharing

This was a great little fic! I really like the interactions of the ninja with the other Joes. I loved how proud he was being compared to Snake Eyes, and that he loved chocolate chip cookies, like I do! M! :)

I have to say, I really like the way you depicted Scarlett's position within the ninja group. If Snake-Eyes as master is almost paternal, then Scarlett is maternal, and as a result there's some wonderful interaction with the apprentices. :D I can see her being concerned-especially after what happened to Ophelia-and as a result, her ninja-wrangling is doubtless second to none. She could probably round up a whole herd of 'em . . .

Hm. What's the plural of ninja? A herd? A flock? A sneak?

And does the title "Apprentice the first" mean we get to see more? I hope so-I'm personally waiting for Jinx to fall under Doc's tender mercies.

i really like the banter and felt sorry for Doc, he will loose whats left of his hair stressing about them, when will he realise its pointless.

i really liked the comments about scarlett. i always wondered about her relationship with the apprentices , she got on well with jinx but you didnt see much interation with her and the others , and they always came to the cabin with her and snake eyes which to me just seemed a bit awkward.

Yay! I love how Jinx and Tiger Claw knew about the secret passages before Kamakura, and I can really see the ninjas pretending to be squirrels when Doc showed up. :) I can't wait to see how Kamakura will get herded back to the infirmary! I wonder if the tea trap will work on him? Hm...
