Wow, I never knew Robotnik to be so poetic (laugh)! But, in all seriousness, this piece was rather very good.

Its funny, but in many pieces written on Robotnik- his deranged mind and twisted pleasures of life warped into robotics and killing and tyrannical rule is concentrated on one sole driving power- anger. Anger and jealousy go hand in hand, but Robotnik is depicted as having a stately sense of superiority over the Freedom Fighters, but here- he seems to feel small, almost weakened by his obvious lack of confidence however secret these feelings may be hidden. This is something that I've yet to see in Sonic fanfiction is this sense of inferiority through envy though when you really consider it, it seems so incredibly obvious as if to ask- why hasn't anyone else considered this? Too obvious? Why does he feel so trapped when he has so much power? Trading his power for freedom to be "carefree"? "Unable to live"? It opens up to a whole new face to the character.

It can be hard to write in a short piece- the complexities and corruption of a mind as deranged Robotnik, but then again, when people write him as so highly multifaceted- how do we know that that underlying hatred, simming beneath the greasy skin, welling in dark eyes- is really quite simple? A remorseful voice of jealousy that falls in a teardroplet of grief cried for his misery? It brings to the table a very different side of Robotnik very rarely exposed in written word that we may have never realized existed. Its an intriguing and different idea. I enjoyed reading this piece very much!

Whoa... GREAT work. This story expresses a side to Robotnik that I doubt has ever been explored before. Philosophical, in a way. This is probably your best Sonic fic yet in my estimation - and it's up against some stiff competition.

Damn. That was excellent insight into Robotnik's mind. And you're going to post more, longer stories? Joy indeed!
