Reviews for: waxing poetic
Star7 4/11/11 . chapter 1
This is so lovely :) The atmosphere, the characterisation, just perfect. As is the scenario, actually, something a little subtle but so well presented. I love the way the storyline (Tezuka missing Fuji's goodbye moment) seems almost secondary to everything else, like it's not at the centre of the fic but hovering just outside it waiting to be uncovered almost as an after thought.

Brilliantly done.

Ohhh I really liked this! Are the italics like from an actually thing or something you came up with?

So...where do I start?

Ah, first - HOLY CRAP I feel really privileged to get such an awesome-sauce fic, nee :D And I regret not being the first to review "D

Second of all - to the actual fic. I like the portrayal of the Perfect Pair relationship. It's what's seen in canon, and you've described it up to a more specific level (if that makes sense to you). The language, the pace, the keeping to the atmosphere and the enigma - it's all very powerful. And the notes with the incredible prose are an absolute joy to read.

And and this line "...there is more than one way to kill a man." God, I love it 8D It's so open and leaves the mind musing about all the ways - and I don't mean literally killing someone, though that can be thrown in as well.

And the present tense - I feel that it fits so well. And the absolute art of your writing style.

It also shows the time gone by. Tennis is on the side now, it almost says it completely outright. It's a saddening thought, but some realistic bit for time.

It shows a gigantic crevice opened up because of the subtlety in actions, and I do think it reflects on their personalities; I think one thing incredibly enjoyable about this pairing is just that - their communication, their cryptic ways.

This part as well. "If you go to the airport at half past twenty, the timing will be perfect for a last-minute rescue. The albatross awaits." At first it left me wondering at the slightest, but it cleared up and I was...well, gazing at the screen in wonder ./. Really.

The ending closes up nicely, though, and it's quite pleasing.

Thanks again, nee n_n I'm so grateful and happy at the same time T_T :D Thank you, arigatoo, danke schon, duo xie, merci beaucoup...:'D

Oh my Sono.

How /do/ you do it? I'm just like, sitting here, in absolute shock, because the first two fics in the Secret Santa thing have just left me in a big puddle of melting goo and I'm just sloshing all over my chair, going anfgjisdngijsng. T_T

Why so pretty? Why so good at writing? I need to like, seriously grab onto you and never let go so maybe I can steal some of your writing skills off you. Seriously. This was just so... jsndjngsjdn.

I'm going to have a long day of keysmashing ahead of me. XD
