Wow! One of the best fanfics I've ever read! Giving this story a 10 out of 10 stars would be vastly underrating it. I'd rate it 100 out of 10 stars! (Don't talk to me about fractions now!)

Of all your surprising chapter endings (and there have been many!) this is perhaps the biggest shock of all! Well, I suspected it was the Doctor toward the very end of the chapter, but it took me by surprise anyway. I love this story so far, and am off to read the rest now!

incidentally, i've been putting off reading the last few chapters, but i guess the time has come. dang. can i talk you into doing another long story? it is great fun to read, at least.

I did take a look at your other stories with Kim, and have been following this one pretty avidly. You did an amazing job of setting up conflict, twisting the plot, and generally keeping me offguard the entire time. LOVE the way everything ties together so perfectly at the end with everything all back to normal. Love it. Congrats on completing such a long and wonderful story!

Absolutely fantastic. I tend not to enjoy Doc fan fics because it's so hard to have a story as believably timey wimey or as funny.

But you managed it.

I loved every bit of it, and I just read the whole thing in one go.

wow. good writing. totally gripping and, need i say, disturbing?

i liked the "strange... strange... strange... strangest of all" bit. i try to do that kind of thing myself but usually fail miserably. i get it in my head to try something clever but what i imagine never quite materializes; the end of chapter 23 of 'scars' is an example. hmm... i wonder if i'd used italics... ;-)

oh! incredibly clever! the reapers... very, very good.

and i have to admit - i keep wondering about jack. for a bit i thought maybe the savant was him... but i don't think the doctor could have hidden that fact.
