usherkate98331 6/15/13 . chapter 2Love this story! I am a Charlie fan, and this is one of the best fics I have read! |
csp4 5/26/13 . chapter 1"There were things that I just didn't want or need to know. Like why some of the younger Quileutes had a tendency to skulk around together in a group with no shirts on. Didn't need to know." Pretty much describes Charlie in 3 sentences! He sees so much but tries to ignore it. "Don't pursue it and go digging around for more information" not sure I can see Charlie just leaving it alone this time. |
SpangleyPony 2/3/13 . chapter 1Great, off to read the sequel. |
NixDucky 1/20/12 . chapter 2Well that was just enough to leave me wanting more. It's so refreshing to get something all Charlie for a change. Will be moving on to the sequel now! |
BookwormBaby2580 1/20/12 . chapter 1I . . . just . . . I . . . I have no idea what to say. I'm speechless! Half the story I was convinced that Bella and Edward had died at the fight in the woods, and the other half I was pretty sure that Billy was hiding the secret that the wolves had killed Edward after he turned Bella. And where I'm very relieved that neither of those things is true, I'm also a smidge pissed at you for making me wait SO DAMN LONG to know what the letter said! Also, excellent chapter. Truly, truly excellent, even with all the suspense. |
AllTheOtherNamesAreUsed 12/21/11 . chapter 1This was just great. Charlie is rarely written well, but here get a real sense of him: as a father, as a man, even as a cop... All the mystery is so well shown, and I really look forward to seeing how Charlie pursues his lead in the next story. Thanks for writing. |
Twiolic 12/20/11 . chapter 1I always prefer a story where Charlie knows the truth. Very interesting premise. |
reesessweetie 12/2/11 . chapter 2if billy wanted charlie to know, why didn't he just tell him? why make it so cryptic and force charlie to do the work? i'm just so scared that the volturi will realize that charlie is close to finding out about vampires and they will kill him... |
reesessweetie 12/2/11 . chapter 1i can imagine charlie's frustration at not being in on the secret...knowing that everyone around him knows, but himself |
KayMarieXW 11/2/11 . chapter 1Wow, I was absolutely gripped from start to finish. I've never read anything like this and I think it's a fantastic premise. I especially love Charlie's POV, which is highly underused in my opinion. It was beautifully written and I was actually on the edge of my seat all the way though. I love the image of Carlisle's threatening, angry face. It seems perfect that he would issue the silent warning somehow. What was written in the letter was brilliant! Trust Billy to be so direct and so cryptic at the same time. Well done on his part, with the treaty only breached in spirit, not in the actual letter of the law. I can't wait to read more. What will Charlie do now? Thanks for writing. Love Kay |
tookeeluv 6/6/11 . chapter 1Man, leave it to Billy write a statement like that without really giving Charlie much! Great one shot. Looking forward to continuing the journey with you with its companion story. Tks! ;) |
LJ Summers 2/22/11 . chapter 1This. Is. GREAT. I really enjoyed this. Saw it rec'd today at ADF and had to come check it out. |
Justine Lark 2/22/11 . chapter 1Very cool idea. I wrote a post-BD story called Phone Calls in which Renee has to cope with Bella and Edward's deaths just a couple of years after the wedding. I'm interested to see where this goes! |
lizf22 2/7/11 . chapter 1eeeeeeeeeeeeeek! oh I think I'm going to like this! *nod nod* I love a smartly written Charlie and a man on a mission Charlie is even better. I always thought SM gave him the short end of the stick. He was a cop for pete's sake, no way he just 'didn't notice'. I'm already excited you've continued this so I'm just off to keep on reading. Thanks! xo |
eibbil 2/5/11 . chapter 1Oh WOW. I have always, always loved Charlie to pieces and this does nothing but extend that love. I love the way you've got his voice going. Especially when he thinks "Moving on" at himself. And now I can't wait to see where this goes, and what he does with Billy's last statement. |
