I know that so many Twilight readers hate Renesmee, or the concept of Renesmee, or both, but I don't. Despite the fact that SM's abysmal attempts to explain the science of it drive me to absolute distraction, I think it's the magic of Renesmee that appeals to me. You capture that sentiment perfectly here, particularly with this line: "There was no way to look into this baby's face and not see something greater than myself, and listening to her little heart beat, I knew without doubt, she had a soul." She might be unique, one of only a few like her, but her existence also reflects the miracle in any child-living evidence of love.

Congratulations on finishing! I enjoyed reading all of your drabbles & chapters. I'm going to guess Comfort was the one that was ghost written. But, it was tough to pick out. I had some close runners-up. I really enjoyed the chapter with Edward and Carlisle and Renesmee. I liked the way you portrayed Edward in that - very mature for a 17 year old, self-deprecating vampire. ;-) Thanks for writing!

Of all of them Carlisle would know. I couldn't imagine spending as long as he did alone. Beautifully done!

This was lovely :) Excellent portrayal of Jasper and Carlisle. I always love glimpses of "Jasper and Alice find the Cullens" and how it goes down, because I think that Jasper's reaction to all of them, plus their reactions to him (mostly Carlisle's, really), are all so interesting. I have to imagine that in any sane vampire, the sight of Jasper (mostly his scars) would cause some instinctive defensive reactions. Which of course he would feel. I can see it becoming this big vicious cycle.

I really like how you showed it.

"But there is no other vampire like Carlisle Cullen. No coven like this one." How true :)
