I love: "There was something about Elphaba that drew Galinda to her like a moth to a phosphorescent flame and Galinda was not sure yet if the flame was there to sooth or burn her."

Beautiful use of imagery to describe Galinda's predicament.

However, spelling and grammar check might be an idea, as I did notice a few mistakes. Also, both chapters seem to have a slightly 'rushed' aspect. There's definitely potential here; but maybe slow down your pace a little.
