I've had this on my favorites list for ages & can't believe I haven't reviewed. Blame it on being utterly speechless. This is beautiful. Completely mundane imagery (but so vivid) telling such a story. I'm amazed at what you've done with so few words. Wow.

Well, that's the _formal_ definition of drabble, yes. I'm not sure I understand the second paragraph, but give me another minute.
