Huh, your view is pretty limited. But that's the wrong start. I think using one of the Palantirs as introduction is far better than the One Ring. However - who says Ranma has to stay on Earth? And who says the things in LotR have already happened? I think it'd be great to see what happened to the Fellowship of the Ring when Ranma was with them... as Gandalf's apprentice, supreme fighter and so on.

Some thoughts...well, I don't care much for the fox character (seems to be a bit of a rip-off from Metroanime with no real unique bits to make him interesting), but I find your depiction of both Gandalf and Samwise is quite good - you seem to have captured the voice of both characters fairly well.

I would personally hope for a concentration on a single crossover, rather than the mega-crossovers. LotR has a lot of stuff to use, and there's no reason to have a bunch of other crossovers simply for the sake of having a bunch of crossovers.

You have made a good start but there is much more that needs to be done. I truly like most of your ideas and eagerly await them being written.

A worthy start, with potential depending on the direction you choose to take.

Hi, me again. I had a weird thought... If you DO go about making this a multi-crossover (I'm of two minds on that idea...), here's a thought: what if Pluto's Garnet Orb was really a Palantir, maybe disguised somehow. Hey, a Palantir does seem suited to being a key to the Time Gates...
