I only read the series this summer. They don't have it where I'm from, but I was in the US and read it (: I absolutely loved it! And I totally agree with you.

I love the Wake Series as well ! In fact, I was thinking of writing a fanfic for it real soon. Because of this, I'm going add that little read-the-wake-series-right-now note to the end of the first chapter (and maybe more of them?). Can't wait to read your story when/if it goes up !
