OMG! I LOVE THIS STORY! I've read both endings now, and I can't seem to pick one. Sure I absolutely LOVE Zell, and literally cried when he died, but...I understood the point that was being put across. But this ending rocks too! I've been going through some hard times, and this story actually help me realize I can't do everything on my own, I need someone to talk to about what's buggin' me. I haven't really thought of anyone yet, but I'm pretty sure I will. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I LOVE this story, and the other, and I wish there was more!

I know Sergeant Phoenix, and I have to say this is a credit to her work. It's strange- I first read One Day at a Time on a different site, I don't remember by now, and this ending was included in non chapter form as part of the story itself. I was looking for this today since I remembered it and here it is. Took me awhile- Sarge said it was written by 'Crimson' and there are quite a few Crimson's on . Well, it's a good work and I like it.

I actually stumbled onto the original fic by Sargent Phoenix a few days ago, and it tore me to pieces, it was so sad at the end. So I read the challenge she made to anyone who wanted to finish it so Zell wouldn't have to die. And I really liked yours. Especially the way Squall and Zell bonded at the end. Nice touch. But bi-polar disorder? That's kinda out there, but it's not bad. Thanks for making this ending.

OMG OMG OMG! That was amazing! Along with the other one! They both rule! Man, I wish there was more! You and Pheonix should right more stories like that! They're great! AAAHHHH! I'm goin' insane, as you prolly noticed... so I'm just gonna shut up as best I can now... alright. That story, both versions of it were literally the best stories I've ever read! Well, I'm done stating my opinion now so I'll go find somethin' else to do...

Oh my God, it's absolutely impossible to say how much I loved this fic. I'm an absolute huge fan of Zell's, and this fic portrays a side that no-one wants to see;no-one wants to believe that it exists, but is real. I wept through most of this fic, because the pain was so real and familiar to our world, and yet, everyone in the FFVIII world were acting as they would in this sort of situation. This fic is my new favourite. Great job, Crimson and Phoenix. This is a really rare feat; an fanfic that entertains, retains the true spirit of all the characters, and is seriously capable of helping a lot of people too. Everyone should read this.

Great alternate Ending. I liked this one better, but i think the Original was a bit better. Incredible work nevertheless.

Good job, Crimson. Zell was portrayed almost identically to his character in One Day at a Time, which is good, since most authors who attempt sequels/alternate endings try to bend the characters to fit their story. -A little critism here- One thing that edged me was Squall's personality in the story, it was a little hard to picture, but under the circumstances I understand why he was like that. I thought both happy endings were similar, but also totally different and well done. You and Phoenix should get together again.

Taser is right. That was harsh. I worked on this with Crimson just a tad, I did little things. This ending to One Day at a Time was better than the happy ending I tried to come up with. A lot better. Crimson, all I can say is 'bravo'. I couldn't have written this the way you did. And for all the praise I got for the first ending, you deserve just as much, if not more. I couldn't be more happy that someone like you wanted to finish this right, the way I meant to finish it in the first place. Thank you, Crimson, for what you've done for this fic. I hope to work with you again, on anything.
