Nice capper to the story. Really gave much needed weight to Milton's decision to defect from Thrush.

And how like Mr. Waverly to make the most of the unfortunate situation of his agents having battered each other in the gym to temporary loss of field status by grabbing at the opportunity to take his own vacation! Since neither of his top agents could work in the field for a bit, might as well bind them to a desk good-and-proper in the interim. [chuckle]

Kudos, Wendie! So glad you finally got the Antarcticia Affair wrapped up. I agree that while it may be true that Dr. Milton's conversion did seem to occur ratherly quickly and come seemingly out of nowhere(and I do understand you wanting to complete the story quickly- some persistant pleadings from some people- right- ), I always did have this feeling from the very beginning that he wasn't completely the Russian hating loyal THRUSH he was supposed to be. But I have to tell you, this story was MARVELOUS- simply MARVELOUS! And again kudos to those talented muses of yours- make MARVELOUS stories a true joy to read!

Though I enjoyed the story overall, I did find Dr. Milton's complete reversal of attitude hard to buy. It seemed to come out of nowhere.

But nice action through this part to be sure!

Gloria mentored in the ways of a Thrush femme fatale by Angelique. [chuckle] That's a neat take. And enough to make Illya puke in private I'm sure, since we know from the series how he abhored Angelique.

But wrapping this up in just one more act is going to be tough!

I am enjoying your plot and characters. Its nice to see one of the agents venture off on their own for a bit. I am curious about Gloria, but one has to wonder about a few other characters. I like your humor, its well placed in the story. Please keep up the good work, I look forward to future chapters, just make certain they don't barbecue a penguin for lunch.

Ah, Gloria and Illya... shades of Angelique and Napoleon. Only the latter pair were more upfront with each other at least, neither ever hiding the fact they were actually enemies. [chuckle]

Interesting setup! I love your use of the Antarctica station as the location, a location that was specifically mentioned in the series but of which we never got specific details.

There are a few awkward places in the writing. (Such as I'm not sure "provocation" is necessarily an apt term to describe flirting with the intent of putting someone off-their-guard.) But overall I thoroughly enjoyed the first part of the story.

On to reading Act II!

Very nice. You've given Illya a very natural voice. I'm looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.
