I totally agree! The Angel finally sucked and only to bring Lindsey back to kill him? I would never forgive Joss Weldon!

I agree. I hated that Lindsey died the way he did. If he had gone out fighting, it would have been another thing but to be betrayed by Angel, who was supposed to be the good guy, well, I always thought it was just way out of character.

Yeah, I like this ending better. Lindsey was a 1st class bastard, but he came through in the end and definitely deserved better. The problem with the finale was that Joss got blindsided by the network. Gave them only a 5 show notice that they were suddenly canceled (a top 20 show got the boot with almost no notice. Later and exec despaired that they needed a show with a following like Buffy. Was explained to him that they DID, they just canceled it.)

Joss and writers were left to scramble and tie up all loose ends in what amounted to 2 shows (the others had already been shot.) So, no, it wasn't what almost anyone wanted, but that said, I liked the final shot. Left hope that their world continued on even if we couldn't see it. Lots of loopholes for fanfic authors to play with.
