Thanks so much for writing this! I have always wondered what takes place between Angel first seeing Buffy in LA and them meeting for the first time in Sunnydale. I think you capture that time period and the "Angel" ep really well. Fantastic story.

This is really amazing.

Occassionally, a story brings me new insights. This is one of them.

The first paragraph in particular made me see Angel and his view of humanity in a new way that I think brings some truths to bear. Their lives are poinless, brutal, short - and yet, containing things he'll never have.

The one thing I'm not completely sold on is Angel planning to kill Buffy at the end. I think he's going for suicide by slayer.

I hope you write more in this fandom, especially about my two favorite characters, Buffy and Angel.
