Imperial Dragon 12/19/12 . chapter 1They are perfect for each other. |
ElvenMuggle 6/11/12 . chapter 1For my first Lost in Austen fic, I'm glad to say that I rather enjoyed it. Your witty humor, excellent grammar and your ability to stick to a character's personality left me impressed and wanting more. I will definitely be back to read more from you; especially since I see that you're a Klaroline fan :) |
Otterbot 4/29/12 . chapter 1I think this is the first Lost in Austen fic I read tonight that was true to Amanda's personality. I could hear her voice narrating it, and you added just enough humor to make it a completely entertaining read! The first two paragraphs especially cracked me up. Great job! (For the record, I totally would have picked Wickham. I'm all for gaiety. ;) |
Indigo Scarlett 3/21/12 . chapter 1It has been quite a while ago since I saw Lost in Austen, but this was a great read. Again, written with great humor. Considering Amanda's real-life ex-boyfriend, Wickham is pretty much way more her type than Darcy is after all. But I guess the writers of the mini series just wanted to give her that fairy tale ending with that fairy tale man. But for a fic, Wickham will do just fine ;) Loved it! |
skaeye 2/18/12 . chapter 1Hahahah that was amusing always loved wickham in Lost in Austen! Sent from my iPod touch via Pocket Fiction |
GingerWall 1/23/12 . chapter 1Watching the show, It was so clear - to me at least, and apparently you as well - that Darcy was only a red herring for Amanda because Wickham was the one who 1) understood her better 2) came in to save the day (like Darcy did in the original P&P). But the writers felt differently *le sigh* Anyway, I loved this story because: You managed to communicate that without having Amanda feel like just a mouthpiece for your opinions. Her voice and the opinions seem authentic to her character. The plot point about french kissing and line about "heaving bosom" were hilariously done. I like the idea of her taking him back to the modern world. It creates a whole new universe of possibilities, and he's the one character (besides Lizzy) who might be able to actually hack it out there. It shows that none of the sexual repression that she's been living in has rubbed off on Amanda. Good for her. |
Vampellzy logged out 10/1/11 . chapter 1 I adore your witty and well written glimpse into what could have been. Sigh, I love whickham, darcy is nothing but wooden pillar in trousers/ breeches. Thanks. |
eleanorlavish 8/16/11 . chapter 1 That was so funny, and not too tart for me at all. I think it's worth mentioning that Wickham was similar to the deadbeat she'd dumped in contemporary London, so it would have been ironic if she'd actually picked him. |
Katie 4/28/11 . chapter 1 Loved it! Especially the last paragraph. Wickham belongs in the 21st century with Amanda! If only the series had her with Wickham instead of bipolar Darcy. For a cad he sure came across as far more gallant and darcy-ish than Darcy himself. |
Clare 3/13/11 . chapter 1 loving it my dear! wickham...god, I want that man! The story is PERFECT! Contunation? Pleeease :) |

agadoo 7/27/10 . chapter 1That was bloody brilliant! I really liked how you captured Amanda's tone perfectly. :D Ahh, Wickham. I think I may be in love with him. *sigh* Thanks for posting this, it really made my day! :) |
