Is Haruhi and everyone else the ones hallucinating about her being the Hammer, or is Miyo the one hallucinating about nothing is happening? Because I find that if Haruhi managed to fill a giant hole with neck blood how can Miyo say that she's not bleeding from the neck? And even if you say that's a hallucination does that mean Haruhi didn't use her god powers to explode Keiichi and levitate torture stuff? Or did she?

I was perplexed and annoyed by how out of character everyone is, not just Haruhi but particularly Kyon. Then, I remembered this is Himinazawa.

You are doing a excellent job of building atmosphere. Very true to the source. Well, one source - you need Haruhi to be deviant here.

Cowboy Bebop, Pulp Fiction, Bleach, Final Fantasy VI (and probably more references I missed). Sweet. Freakin' sweet. References aside, great start for an opening chapter! Everyone was in character, humor was present, fear too, and Yuki Nagato! Yuki motherf*cking Nagato! Awesome as always. Rena's interaction with Kyon and Haruhi was my favorite part. I could picture it so perfectly.

I loved the interactions between the SOS Brigade and the Games Club as well. Though, the end... it was weird. Did not see that coming. Could be Haruhi's come down with a case of... *'Oh Crap' meme face*

Poor Satoko, always getting abused. I was hoping for her nii-nii to come save the day, but seeing Haruhi getting tazered is kinda funny, haha.

Ryoko Asakura is perfect for Hinamizawa. Of course, it could be interpreted that Kyon himself has contracted end-stage Hinamizawa Syndrome and is just hallucinating Asakura as he claws out his own throat. Also, I greatly enjoyed the references to tv tropes.

Oh wow, what an ending. This is a truly lovely psychotic blend of shows.

Like with all good stories, there must be some CC to go with the praise, but that's what makes us better writers.

I personally didn't really like how the SOS Brigade members were sort of OOC, but that's my own person preferences, so ignore that.

I did spot some spelling mistakes, such as in Chapter 2: Lost Child. This verse, actually:

"Well, well, well! What do we have here?"

He was staring directly at his chest. Hey, don't even think of doing anything like that. She's... well, she's not my girlfriend. She's a colleague. Either way, I'll knock you out of you touch her.

"He was staring directly at his chest."

I'd make a joke about that right now, but nah. There's another one, in Chapter 4 I believe where you refer to Koizumi as a she. As much as he seems like a woman, and as funny and fitting as that is, he is indeed a guy, so that might need fixing.

Either way, really good story, I laughed, got angry, and cheered various people on throughout it, and now I plan on reading and reviewing your sequel to this as well.

It seems that if this was the original higurashi, Kyon would be Rika in the sense that when he dies, everything restarts.
