thanks for the fic. i watched this drama as well but the one strike me the most is ulanara empress. she lived in the shadow of her sister and the misery fate of a bastard child so she did everything she thought to be right to secure what she wanted. not to mention, there is the weight of her family's fate on her shoulder as well. compared to her, zhen huan is somewhat luckier since she can choose to ride to the top for whatever reason, but the empress did not have that luxury in the first place.

actually I never like Lao Fo Ye in HZGG...and in this chapter you writed about her mind...make me understan a little that she had been trapped in the palace for so many years without love... maybe she had been married to yongzhen without love too. it made her spiteful about life...

But I still wonder... is it why she couldnot see other peoples lived happily with the one they loved? so she tried to break the relationship between lovers...

I really don't know who was the Doctor, where did he come from, and why he wandered for a long time from a place to another place.
