I'm glad that you talk about rebuilding Terrielle. It bugs the hell out of me that the author never talks about it. A place that ruined, left on its own, would become hell if there wasn't any help, and no one seems interested in helping.

I think this is great. Who cares that I have no idea who Ciel is, and where he's really from? Right away I was swept into your current. Your demon/succubus/vampire Bastion is awesome. And Granddaddy Saetan explaining things for an errant grandson - gold. Death God's archives/ cold and remote as the moon/ the detritus of his last meal/ machiavellian pre-teens/ formal variances in translated japanese phrases - all set this one head and shoulders above most of these fan-fics.

Biting my nails in anticipation of your next release - and looking into Kuroshitsuji thanks to you.

This is intriguing! I love the Black Jewels Trilogy and Kuroshitsuji and I was excited to see this. I'm really enjoying this so far. I like the different layers of plot (Ciel adjusting, Bastian's research into Ciel's family history), although, after 4.5 chapters of BJT characters, it was jarring to find myself suddenly reading about a subplot in England. I'm looking forward to seeing how you tie everything together.

Sebastian being part of the Black Jewels universe (and son to Janelle and Daemon no less!) is the only reasonable explanation for the whole thing.

You have done an excellent job so far of melding the two universes together and keeping everyone in character - no mean feat considering I love the way the Black Jewels trilogy characters have been handled by their real creator that I've never really felt the need to look for fan fic on them. You've also managed to keep those underlying themes of deep love, darkest magic and fantasy, not to mention the additional angsty touches of abuse and how the characters rise above that.

I'm looking forward to the next chapters. I'm especially looking forward to Ciel going through his Birthright Ceremony and making the Offering. Heh. Considering his nature, I'm betting the kid's going to be a Birthright Red and descend to Gray (but I will LMAO if he proves to have the same jewels as Sebastian!).

Now, I'm going to read this over and over again while I wait for the next update. You ROCK!

It's an interesting fusion of Kuroshitsuji and the Black Jewels trilogy. At the moment it just appears to be Sebastian and Ciel dumped into the Black Jewels world, but you've written it well and it does feel at bit like Anne Bishops own writing. I'm really interested in seeing where you take the story.
